I wrap the whole thing up into a short movie that can be shown on TV, computer or mobile device - you can even upload it to You tube and impress the World!Sounds too hard? Not at all - especially if you are someone who is prepared to tackle home improvements! Because I have spent so many years teaching people how to get into digital story telling that I finally decided to capture my knowledge and share it with the World in general. You can even use it as promotion if you are looking for paid work in that area.I am just going through the process of turning part of my garage into my office and just as we are at the point of putting in the walls and new ceiling I remembered that I had not done any 'before' photos!! "Don't worry" said my partner, "I don't ever want to be reminded of the accumulated mess we had in there before". It never ceases to amaze me that friends and family will happily watch a two or three minute movie where they will not give 30 seconds to a group of photos on their own!So I try to take photos at the beginning, during and at the end of my home improvement projects then I put them together in a sensible order, add some motion and transitions to highlight the things I want to bring out and then record my commentary in my own voice. Take a break and check this out and let me know when you have posted your first movie onto You Tube!. You can have fun working out interesting transitions, drawing the eye in and out of features you want to highlight - that perfect saw cut that no-one will see once it is installed but you know how hard it was to get right?Build your own film library of projects you have done around the house and use it to remind yourself how clever you have been or even to recall how a structure was when you want to make the next change.I kind-of agreed but I wanted to make a story of the transformation in such a way that did not bore all our friends by just inflicting on them an album of shots! My way of recording the changes I make around the house is by means of digital story telling which takes a group of still photos and turns them into a small movie with my own voice-over.Being able to bring the transformations to life through digital story telling has really been a lot of fun for me and even made my friends realise just how much work has gone into the project.com - click the link below and check it out.I made a digital story about making a digital story! What I have done is put together a complete digital story telling starter kit that includes all the software and instructions that you will need to get you started and made it available for immediate download at my website at digitalstorytellingworld. I am so confident that you will be able to turn your photos into stories using my starter kit that I even offer a money back guarantee! It is so easy because the software really does most of the work for.
